Headboard Types
Strutted Headboards
A strutted headboard is composed of the headboard itself, and is screwed to your bed using 2 wooden legs (struts). Strutted headboards can be height adjusted depending on the depth of your mattress, ensuring your headboard isn't being hidden behind it.
Strutted headboards are generally more affordable than floor standing headboards, but there are options for all budgets. There is also a huge range of styles, giving you plenty of options.
Floor Standing Headboards
Floor Standing Headboards extend down the back of the bed to the floor, allowing them to support their own weight. Once attached to your bed, floor standing headboards provide much more support than their strutted counterparts, making them ideal for people who like to sit up in bed and lean against their headboard.
Floor Standing Headboards are generally more costly than strutted headboards, but many users prefer the look of floor standing headboards, because they combine the practicality of a divan bed with the aesthetic of a bed frame. There is also a huge range of styles, giving you plenty of options.
